At Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMACT) there is a personalized care team to help guide you through your PCOS treatment plan.
On the day of your initial appointment with Diana D’Amelio, RPA-C, head of our Adolescent PCOS program, you will be greeted by a front desk representative who will welcome you to our practice and verify your insurance information. Parents/Guardians, please be sure to have your insurance card and a valid photo ID ready at this point.
Personalized PCOS Treatment Plan
After check-in, one of our medical assistants will take you to a private room to record your vitals. Once this is done, you will sit down for a talk with Diana. During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to go over your medical history and come up with an individualized plan for PCOS treatment moving forward. This is likely to include blood work which will be discussed at the time of your initial nutrition appointment.
We know all of this information can be overwhelming. As a patient at RMACT you will have your own personalized care team to help guide you through your treatment plan.
In addition to your medical providers, you will have a nurse to coordinate your clinical care, a patient navigator to schedule your appointments, and a finance coordinator to guide you with insurance coverage and costs. We also have licensed social workers for additional support as needed through your treatment journey.
PCOS Support for Teens
Our Adolescent PCOS program is designed to include services proven to help adolescents and women not seeking to become pregnant improve their symptoms and achieve an overall improved sense of well-being.
Teen patients are supported by the RMACT team and they also benefit from support and guidance at home. Because of this, parents are encouraged to learn about PCOS and how to help manage it. RMACT offers seminars where parents can learn tools and techniques that can best help their daughter at home and at school. It takes parents’ involvement to ensure that adolescent and young adult patients establish a new lifestyle of healthy eating, exercise and medical treatment compliance.
