Dr. Leondires' own family building story started years ago. He shares here how he became a parent.

“I understand that there are many different pathways to parenthood,” says Dr. Leondires. “My own journey took time to develop as it was a delicate balance between my professional and personal life. As any LGBT person knows, we always have concerns about acceptance. Legally married in the state of Connecticut to my husband and going through the process of choosing an egg donor, working with a wonderful gestational carrier and having my sons has dramatically changed my life and my perspective on family building. It has definitely enhanced the way I treat all my patients, especially my LGBT patients, as I feel strongly that if one desires to have a family the hurdles are surmountable and the joys, boundless. I am proud to help others achieve their family building dreams.
