PCOS is the most common cause of infertility (affecting 5-10% of women of reproductive age) besides age. It is also a complex metabolic and endocrine condition that will affect women in many aspects of their health for their entire lives. Every September, RMA of Connecticut recognizes PCOS Awareness Month and this year, we brought together some experts in the field. Ashley Levinson, PCOSGurl; Diana D'Amelio, RMA of Connecticut’s Physician Assistant; and Monica Moore, APRN of Fertile Health joined Lisa Rosenthal, RMA of Connecticut's Patient Advocate, for an informative Facebook Live discussion about the medical and psycho-social aspects of PCOS, sharing ways to bring this challenging condition to the forefront of conversations.
