When it comes to fertility, timing is everything. But when it comes to seeing a fertility specialist and actually scheduling your new patient consultation, there is no set time of the month or your cycle that you need to be here.
When Should I See a Fertility Specialist?
You can be on day one, day 21 or any day in between, because at the time of the initial consultation, you will work with one of our board-certified reproductive specialists to determine an individualized plan for moving forward. This may involve giving a call when you get your next period to do certain diagnostic tests, but there is no telling what will be recommended until you see a doctor. Therefore, I highly recommend that when you are ready to see a fertility specialist, or are referred by your OBGYN, you get your foot in the door as soon as possible. From there, we will guide you through the process of coordinating treatment.
We have a highly trained and motivated team that comes together behind every patient. The nurse, patient navigator, and finance coordinator all help to manage the patient’s care so that they are comfortable and at ease during fertility treatment. We will help to coordinate each patient’s care and figure out the necessary timing for treatment. And of course, they will be seen by a doctor, one of our five board-certified reproductive endocrinologists, at each and every visit!
