Coming together as a community allows us to do what we could never do by ourselves. It's the reason that we take classes, go to parties, have friendships. We support each other in all kinds of ways.
Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMACT) is reaching out to help ensure that people who need homes, have them. Is it about infertility? Nope. Is it about fertility? Nope.
It's about being good neighbors, good community members, good people.
We will be out there in force, walking and running.
Join us, won't you? ~ Lisa Rosenthal
RMACT Sponsors Habitat for Humanity’s 19th Annual 5K Run for Home
Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County’s Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Seaside Park in Bridgeport
Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMACT) is a proud supporter of Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County’s 5K Run for Home and WorkBoot Challenge, which will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Seaside Park in Bridgeport. Habitat, which builds homes for families in need of decent, affordable housing in Coastal Fairfield County, has built over 200 homes and helped over 1,000 family members since the organization was established in 1985.
The fast and flat USATF certified course makes this 5K event a perfect opportunity for serious runners to set qualifying personal records. Walkers are equally encouraged and will enjoy views of the Long Island Sound. Participants will have the option of taking the WorkBoot Challenge by wearing their own workboots during the race.
“Whether we are helping a couple build their family or helping Habitat for Humanity build a home, community is important to the entire RMACT team,” says Dr. Joshua M. Hurwitz, who is one of five board-certified reproductive endocrinologists at RMACT. “This important fundraiser will help support Habitat for Humanity and our community, which we care about deeply.”
Dr. Hurwitz went on to explain: “The RMACT Team feels a strong responsibility to each and every one of our patients as well as our greater community.” Since opening its doors in 2002, RMACT has helped shepherd more than 7,000 babies into the world. RMACT approaches fertility care by treating the whole patient, which includes medically advanced assisted reproductive technologies (ART) such as genetic screening and in vitro fertilization (IVF), as well as non-invasive treatments through its Integrated Fertility and Wellness Program. RMACT patients can take advantage of a robust nutrition program, support groups, acupuncture, Fertile Yoga, emotional support, complimentary classes and workshops, and counseling for individuals and couples, all under one roof.
