It's our first one! Kate's Corner, which we will run every other Thursday here on PathtoFertility.
Kate's role here is unique, both because of who she is as a compassionate and capable person and also because of the dedication and understanding at Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMACT) that the first phone call to a fertility program can be the most challenging one. Kate makes it so much easier.
Kate's Corner – Infertility Advice From A New Patient Liaison
Here's a tid bit from her bio:
"As RMACT’s New Patient Liaison, Kate is the first person who speaks with patients before they schedule their initial appointment. They often call with a wide range of questions about the process, diagnosis and possible treatments; Kate is there to provide their first pieces of information in the fertility puzzle. Patients later meet their full fertility team, including fertility doctors, nurses a financial counselor and a patient navigator."

Kate on Fertility Testing
“One of the things I say to patients all the time is that analogy with the puzzle. Each diagnostic test is like a puzzle piece (age, AMH, Day 3 testing, SA, genetics, luteal levels, etc.). Each piece is a different size and has varying weights of importance when determining an individual’s likelihood of achieving pregnancy. Once we have all of the puzzle pieces in place (after diagnostics are completed) the patient and doctor can see the big picture to choose the best course of action.”
