Controlling Our Thoughts On Infertility Through Mantra
Repeating thoughts in our head convinces our brain that we mean business- that those thoughts are important.
I won't make assumptions. I will share with you that sometimes the thoughts in my head that go around and around and on and on are not what I want to reinforce. You may have a few of those too.
From the Merriam Webster dictionary online, a simple Definition of mantra. :" a sound, word, or phrase that is repeated by someone who is praying or meditating. : a word or phrase that is repeated often or that expresses someone's basic beliefs."
Let's give our brains and hearts a different message about our basic beliefs.
And remember, no prayer is necessary. Just a simple recitation of a word or set of words.
Try one of these "mantras" instead:
- I am grateful I am alive
- The light shines on me
- I nourish myself with my breath
- Shanti (peace)
- Exhale, inhale (with the rhythm of your own breath)
Try one or create your own. Do two minutes a day and refresh throughout the day. Especially when you hear less pleasant thoughts about yourself in your head.
Mine for today- I am grateful I am alive.
