In honor of Men’s Health Awareness Week, and with the input of Dr. Shaun Williams, we have put together three simple tips on improving male fertility.
Tips for Improving Male Fertility
- Take a Men's Vitamin daily
- Maintain a healthy weight through diet and exercise
- Limit alcohol and caffeine intake
Dr. Williams was kind enough to elaborate on these tips to improve male fertility, and offer a few additional pieces of advice.
“To improve reproductive health, a simple Men's Vitamin daily is all a man needs for supplementation. Avoid any testosterone boosters or additional fertility supplements. Also, if it hasn't been done already, check a semen analysis if you have any concerns about fertility. It is a simple test that gives us most of the information needed about the male side of the equation. When a couple is evaluating fertility, it is best to get this test completed early, even if there are other female issues identified. Lastly, remember infertility is a couple's issue, and working together and discussing with each other goals and fears is essential for maintaining a healthy relationship beyond the biology of reproduction.” – Dr. Williams
