Third Party Reproduction Drop-in Support Group: Norwalk

When: Tue, December 9, 8am – 9am

Where: RMACT, 20 Glover Ave, Norwalk, CT 06850

Description: This group meets the first Tuesday of each month from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM in our Norwalk Location: 20 Glover Avenue. This group welcomes patients in all stages of their family building process – from thinking about moving forward using an egg and/or sperm donor to choosing a donor to beginning your cycle and finally, to parenting. This group is facilitated by Lisa Schuman, LCSW. For more information or if you have a question contact Justine at 203-750-7407. This group is free of charge and open to the public.

Single Women Pursuing Parenthood | Part II

When: Tue, December 9, 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Where: RMACT, 10 Glover Ave, Norwalk, CT 06850

Description: Please join us for a discussion group and social gathering for single women pursuing parenthood, or seriously thinking about it. This is a chance to meet other women to talk about the decisions, anxieties, excitement and opportunities that you will face along the way to becoming a mother.

Presenters: Carolyn Gundell MS, Nutritionist, will share a brief overview of valuable nutrition, activity, and other lifestyle tools and tips to optimize a women’s health for a successful pregnancy. Amy Matton MS, L.Ac. will discuss acupuncture’s role in improving blood flow, and balancing mind & body as you prepare for pregnancy.

Group Discussion Facilitated by: Lisa Schuman LCSW, Director of Psychological Services, RMACT. This group will provide attendees the opportunity to learn about the process, engage with other women pursuing motherhood and receive support and guidance in a confidential setting. Ladies Night In, Norwalk

When: Thu, December 11, 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Where: RMACT, 20 Glover Ave, Norwalk, CT 06850

Description: his peer support group is free of charge. It is facilitated by Lisa Rosenthal & Carrie Van Steen. Carrie and Lisa are both former fertility patients and offer the support and suggestions many of our patients are looking for and really need. Please RSVP for this FREE group. Fertile Yoga

For this week, Fertile Yoga meets Wednesday, December 10, at RMACT’s Trumbull office, 115 Technology Drive, from 5:45- 6:45.

Thursday, December 11, at RMACT’s Norwalk office, 10 Glover Avenue, from 5:45-6:15, held before Ladies Night In, (6:15-7:30).

Friday, December 12, at Yogaspace, 78 Stony Hill Road, Bethel, from 6-7:15 pm.

Lisa Rosenthal

Lisa has over thirty years of experience in the fertility field. After her personal infertility journey, she felt dissatisfied with the lack of comprehensive services available to support her. She was determined to help others undergoing fertility treatment. Lisa has been with RMACT for eleven years and serves as Patient Advocate and the Strategic Content Lead.

Lisa is the teacher and founder of Fertile Yoga, a program designed to support men and women on their quest for their families through gentle movement and meditation.

Lisa’s true passion is supporting patients getting into treatment, being able to stay in treatment and staying whole and complete throughout the process. Lisa is also a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, which is helpful in her work with fertility patients.

Her experience also includes working with RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and The American Fertility Association (now Path2Parenthood), where she was Educational Coordinator, Conference Director and Assistant Executive Director.
