Super Bowl 2013 Has Come to an End

Ladies Night In

Super Bowl Sunday is behind us. And Ladies Night is this week! I was pretty unpatriotic. I celebrated Superbowl Sunday by making soup with a friend and sitting and chatting in front of the fire. The TV was not on and I was not checking the score or the amount of time-outs left or what yard line the ball was on.

I might have been more interested if one of the New England teams had been playing. I might have been interested enough to know this morning who won. I still don't. I'll check later. Always interesting to know what draws each of us to wonder.

While I clearly don't care about who won the Superbowl or how the game was or even who played, I am very enthusiastic about the dusting of snow that we got yesterday that transformed the world from looking a slightly greyish brown into a surface that offers the sun a way to sparkle a good morning. I'm much more excited about Ladies Night In this week and next. Read on for details.

Fertile Yoga is Also on my Mind

I woke up thinking about my Fertile Yoga class from Friday night. We had newcomers to class as well as to fertility treatment. We had women in class who have known each other for months and speak a few times a week (some who communicate several times a day even); they have created support and friendship. These were the women who created the ease on Friday night at Yogaspace.

Our newcomers visibly softened and relaxed. There were a few tears as the realization that in this circle, we were all friends. There was no pity, but many nods of understanding as we went in a cirlce and checked in with one another. We don't always do that. Last Friday night, it was very welcome. And so it's the first week of February. A wonderful thing to realize on this pretty morning.

Ladies Night In at the RMACT Danbury Office

Come join Carrie Van Steen and I at Ladies Night In, all are welcome. We eat, chat, laugh, cry, share, support, educate, create friendships that sustain us and more. We find out where infertility and fertility treatment are affecting ourselves and one another. We find out what we have in common and we find out new things. Every single time, we find out new things as well. We grow and learn with every experience we have in life, including infertility, whether welcome or not.

This Wednesday, February 6, we will meet in Danbury at 67 Sand Pit Road. Please do RSVP so that we have enough food for everyone. Please do bring a friend, a mother, a sister. Next Wednesday, February 13, we will meet in RMACT's Norwalk office; 10 Glover Avenue. Come join us, we'd love to have you.
