On Friday, September 12 from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. in Chicago, IL, Dr. Mark Leondires and Financial Advisor Beatrice Abshire of GayParentsToBe.com will conduct consultations with members of the LGBTQ community to discuss their medical and financial questions about family building. The following day, GayParentsToBe.com is sponsoring the Surrogacy Seminar and Gay Parenting Expo hosted by the LGBTQ organization Men Having Babies.

These consultations and the Men Having Babies Expo are

In addition, on Saturday, September 13, Dr. Leondires and Abshire will give consultations at the Surrogacy Seminar and Gay Parenting Expo hosted by Men Having Babies. The expo includes several speakers and break out sessions to help educate attendees about family building options for the LGBTQ community. Dr. Leondires, Medical Director of Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMACT) and GayParentsToBe.com, married his husband in 2011 and has two sons through surrogacy. The combination of his professional and personal experience with surrogacy gives him a unique perspective when working with patients. For two consecutive years, Dr. Leondires has been selected through a peer-review process for Best Doctors in America, which represents the top five percent of physicians across the country. He is also a Castle Connelly “Top Doctor” for his work in the field of reproductive endocrinology.

 

Beatrice Abshire, who has 20 years of experience working in the fields of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine, is the Third Party Financial Coordinator with RMACT and GayParentsToBe.com. She can answer financial questions about family planning and working with a gestational carrier. Beatrice is also fluent in Spanish.
