Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut is proud to announce two of its fertility doctors were recently recognized with key awards. Dr. John Stangel was named a "Top Doc" in the New York Metro Area by Castle Connolly for reproductive endocrinology. Dr. Spencer Richlin received the "Patients' Choice Award" from Vitals.com for his work with fertility patients.

Infertility Doctor John Stangel"I am excited to be considered a ‘Top Doc' by my colleagues, especially because my respect for them as grown during the 30 years that I have been practicing in Rye," says Dr. Stangel, who is the Westchester County Medical Director of RMACT and has his office in Rye, NY. This is the second time that Dr. Stangel has received the much sought-after "Top Doc" award, which is based on a rigorous, peer-reviewed process by the renowned healthcare research firm Castle Connelly Medical Ltd.

Along with his work at RMACT, Dr. Stangel is also president of the Westchester County Medical Society. He is board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and has been in private practice since 1976.

Fertility Doctor Spencer RichlinDr. Richlin was previously named a "Top Doc" in 2008. He is currently celebrating another accolade - the "Patient's Choice Award" 2010 from Vitals.com. Vitals.com readers rated the reproductive endocrinologist four stars (out of four) in the following categories - accurate diagnosis, spends time with me, follow up, ease of appointment, promptness, courteous staff, bedside manner.

Several patients who rated Dr. Richlin also included glowing personal reviews on the website. One such comment listed says: "Dr. Richlin brings humanity to his medicine - he's incredibly smart and decisive about the direction to take, yet brings humor, kindness, and a wonderful bedside manner to each interaction. He has given me a beautiful daughter, and I'm now expecting #2 with his help - I couldn't be more grateful to him, and consider him a member of my family."

"Awards based on patient input are extremely meaningful," says Dr. Richlin, who is the Surgical Director and a Fertility Doctor with RMACT. "It's gratifying to be recognized for hard work; my colleagues and our staff strive to give our patients the best possible treatment and a positive experience with our practice."

In addition to his position with RMACT, Dr. Richlin is Division Chief of Reproductive Endocrinology and fertility at Norwalk Hospital. Dr. Richlin is Board Certified in both Reproductive Endocrinology, Obstetrics and Gynecology.
